The first silent version (black and white, 1 hour 37 minutes long) was shown to the public in 1901 in France by Lucien Nonguet and Ferdinand Zecca at Pathé Frères Studios. The most outstanding of French, Italian, Polish and US movies and tv series was 1951 Mervyn LeRoy directed Hollywood superproduction, starring Deborah Kerr, Robert Taylor and Peter Ustinov, nominated for eight Academy Awards
Quo Vadis is a tale about eternal love and good.
The adventure full of historical characters and events is told through
a love story of the young Roman soldier - Marcus Vinicius and a Christian Lygia, the daughter of a defeated king from a distant corner of Europe.
Quo Vadis is set in 63 AD during the reign of the tyrannical Nero. A great fire breaks out in Rome are used as a pretext to accuse Christians of crimes. They are executed during the mass games at the monumental Arena.
